Former airline pilot Dalton ‘Mac’ McBride is running from a past he can’t forget. Flying aid missions into war-torn regions, he’s caught in a brutal ambush and crosses paths with Ingrid Svenson — a dedicated trauma surgeon carrying scars of her own. What begins as a fight for survival soon deepens, as the two navigate the harrowing demands of humanitarian work and the ghosts that haunt them.
From the war-scarred Congo and Ugandan refugee camps, to the storm-ravaged Philippines and the tranquil shores of Zanzibar, Meet Me In Zanzibar takes readers deep into the world of global aid — where love and loss go hand in hand, heartbreak is constant, and true courage is found not in heroics, but in everyday acts of hope.
